What I Love Wednesday

 

 

 

This WILW post will be a little scattered. Well, because that's how my brain is lately... scattered. Let's get started, shall we?

 

OMGeee these are wonderful! They're sweet and chewy and just wonderful. I ate the whole bag in two days last week.

See? Yummo.

Humidity in the South is unlike humidity anywhere else in the world. This is officially Lion King weather for me and my hair.





I have yet to find the "perfect" humidity hairspray. If you know of one, let me know! However, this gem comes close. In Mississippi, in May, that's all a girl can hope to find.

Who isn't loving The Voice? Unfortunately, I heard Shakira and Usher will be replaced next season with Christina and Ceelo. This is not something I love, but at least Adam and Blake are sticking around and I do love them!

I love this idea and my bathroom is set up almost exactly like this. I am headed to Lowe's at lunch to find what I need and hopefully finish this project this wonderful three day weekend!

I am loving the decorative brackets too. I'm undecided if I'll use them since I'm going for something more "clean" looking.

Why haven't I thought about this before? I love this and hope to get this project completed soon!

Another bathroom project that I'm loving. I want to do something similar in my bathroom for my hair dryer and flat iron.

I have no idea what I would use this for, but I love this idea.I'm sure I can come up with something!

For now, that's all I'm loving {or at least that's all I can think of right now}. Please don't forget that this isn't just another three day weekend. There is a reason we celebrate this day! Please remember all of the men and women and their families and what they've done for you and me.

This week is going to be slightly random for me! These are the few things I am currently loving....

I am loving this show! I have a weak spot for Alaska and this really shows the true Alaska.

I am loving this system! I was in Wal-Mart the other day looking for yet another face wash and ran across this. I've only used it for a couple of days, but I can already tell a difference in my skin! Plus I'm loving the $12 price tag!

I'm loving that this little fella is three months old (as of yesterday)! I'm also loving that I got to spend some major time with him and his mommy on Saturday!

 My pictures keep skipping around when I try to do a caption... UGH.

I'm loving this little girl and her wild personality. She is such a sassy pants!

I'm loving this new guy! Meet James Reid! Born yesterday, 7lbs 9.7oz, 20 1/2 inches long and a TON of hair!



WILW: Make-up

I thought I'd show off what I am currently loving regarding makeup (make-up, makeup?)

ELF bronzer! You can't beat this bronzer and the price is ridiculously low. I love it!

So far I'm loving Baby Lips. The store was out of the plain/uncolored one, so I got the purple one that's a light brown color. I would love to try the plain though.

My sensitive, sensitive skin is loving this Revlon Colorstay. Normally anything other than Clinique makes my face ITCH terribly, but so far I'm loving this! They have my perfect color (glow in the dark, pale, vampireish skin) and it really does stay on all day.



Another Revlon product I am loving is the Grow Luscious mascara. Not sure that it really makes my lashes grow, but it does help make them look thicker! 



Not related to make-up, but I am loving these rules. I need to follow them more often! 

 And I just threw this in there for fun. I am loving Chicago Fire. Love the show and the firemen!

WILW: Products + 2

I took a short blogging break, but I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things! This week's WILW will be the products that I'm loving right now! It's winter in MS and that means today can be a toasty 74 degrees and tomorrow will be more like 34! I'm not the type of person to get my 64oz of liquids in a day so add that to the weather plus the fact that my office is freezing year round so I keep a heater blowing on me all day and what do you get? DRY SKIN.

I'm loving this lotion for my dry hands!

This small bottle of lotion sits on my desk and gets used frequently. The scent isn't strong and it isn't a greasy lotion so it's definitely a lotion that I'm loving!

I'm loving this lip balm!

I am not a loyal lip balm user. I'll try just about anything, but this is my new favorite. It goes on and stays put for a while so I'm not constantly reapplying.

I'm loving this body wash!

My skin stays super dry, but this body wash does a great job helping with that! Plus the scent is a favorite of mine. I'm not a fan of flowery, strong scents and this one is light.

I'm loving this moisturizer!

I use this moisturizer! It's not too think or oily/greasy. It's great for wearing at night. Plus Dr. Oz gives it two thumbs up!

I'm loving in-shower body lotion!

I've probably used this one before, but I'm still loving it! This is a must-use product after shaving your legs!

Enough with products! It's TV time now...

I'm not a huge fan of Oprah (I know, I know, but...), but she is producing a new show: Married to the Army, Alaska and it is great! I am also not a fan of reality TV (other than Big Brother and The Voice), but this isn't your typical reality show. Its follows 7 women that live in Alaska and are married to Army men. For the first time EVER, the Pentagon is letting cameras get close to families and on base to show how Army life really is. Most reality shows seem staged to me, but NOT this show. It's real life and how the wives really handle it. I love this show! Plus I've always wanted to travel to Alaska and this show makes me want to go even more!

Episodes air on the OWN channel on Sundays. Watch it; trust me!

Now, it's time for Duck Dynasty! Who doesn't love this show? I actually watched this show 10+ years ago when I was in high school (and my boyfriend at the time was a huge fan). It was the only hunting show that I didn't argue about. Phil (the Duck Commander- top right) had his own hunting DVDs (The Duckmen) and that's what I watched. This family is so funny and the things they say will have you rolling! Plus it's clean?! Who knew shows on TV could be clean anymore?! Plus they end every show with a family meal around the dinner table and Phil saying the blessing!

Do yourself a favor and check out A&E. Plus Friday nights are rerun nights so you get hours and hours of the bearded men!

What I Love Wednesday!

Today's WILW will be short and sweet!

First up is high school football! The season has already started here. There's just something about a high school game that brings back so many memories. I spent many Friday nights on our field cheering, yelling, stunting and sneezing. 



 

This is a very large version of our field. Our stands aren't nearly as large (or nice!)
 

 Second is the weather! I am SO glad that we aren't seeing temperatures like this. We're back in the lower 90s and I'm loving that much better than the triple digits!

 Luggage! I finally made up my mind and bought a set of luggage. I almost went with black, but I got a black set with a creamy white damask print. I thought I might get bored of the black after a while. I probably won't use it much, but I have always wanted a nice set. I do have at least one trip coming up this fall! :)

Whoever created this is a genius and I want to personally say "THANKS!" This is the handiest contraption in my house and I only wish I had gotten one sooner. Thanks, mom, for surprising me!

Anyone else excited about fall? I'm not one to like rushing things, but summer is just NOT my season. Neither is spring for that matter (hello allergies!). I LOVE fall., The colors, the smells, the decorations, the pumpkins and mums, love it all...

 

Last, but certainly not least... I got a promotion at work! {finally} :) Basically I have been doing most of the job anyway, but now I'm finally getting recognition for it (and a couple of other perks!)! I can't wait to get things together and everyone working cohesively.

 

Happy Hump Day! I'm working another long day today (see above) and then I'm meeting Jenessa at Mike's to celebrate her passing her NCLEX, getting her first paying nursing job, my promotion, and of course getting to see her tiny, tiny baby bump! I'm thinking another friend (Whitney) might join us and then hopefully Kel can make it after she gets back in from Oxford (goofy Master's accounting class...). Yay for Hump Day!
